Mahoma falls and Nyamiska falls

Fort portal has only two waterfalls and includes Mahoma falls and Nyamiska falls. Fort portal is the region with the highest number of crater lakes in Uganda.

Mahoma waterfall is located in the kabarole district in the western part of Uganda and is very close to one of the crater lakes in the fort portal called Lake Mwamba. The beautiful Mahoma falls being the highlight of the trip, for the lovers of crater lakes, visiting Mahoma falls is accompanied by vising the crater lakes and forest walk. These adventures can take you like 2hours and at least have a chance to tour at least three crate lakes. These crater lakes are under the splashing white water of falls and enjoy the refreshing. You can also enjoy a power shower at the falls when you visit.

On your trip to the waterfalls, you can add also chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Nation Park in the fort portal, the chip tracking is cheaper and you need to book a permit for tracking from UWA offices. You can enjoy a nature walk to the scenic falls where you will take a shower setting photography for memories
